Helping Gifted Students With Stress Management (Summary)

The article is mainly about the effects of stress on students. It also provides how students can cope with the stress and burnout, how parents, teachers and counselors can reduce stress on students.

“Stress is the body's general response to any intense physical, emotional, or mental demand placed on it by oneself or others. While racing to meet a deadline, dealing with a difficult person, or earning a poor grade are all stressful, so are the excitement of playing a lively game of tennis, falling in love, and being selected to join a special program for gifted students.”

Hi!

Thanks for this 'short and sweet' summary! :)

I too agree that being able to manage stressful situations is a must have skill for any university student. May it be getting a low grade, intense competition or even having to complete our blogs on time. All these can be stressful at times. :P
